Bode and Cigar Galaxies Surrounded By IFN
Bode and Cigar Galaxies Surrounded By IFN
This is an image I've wanted to capture for a long time. It shows several galaxies surrounded by IFN- Integrated Flux Nebula. These structures are outside the main body of our galaxy and are illuminated not by nearby stars, but by the glow of all the stars in the Milky Way. IFN is very faint and difficult to capture. I wasn't successful when I tried this at home, but I'm quite happy with the results from Starfront Observatories.
